A pair (2) of foot protectors made with high density foam padding. We got tired of the "paint-covered foam" ones too and wanted something better. Pads that would last longer than 6 to 8 months before they started to crack and tear. Something without that annoying strap that was always getting under your foot while sparing. These are of outstanding quality made of A/Leather and built to last you for years of sparing! These feature a thick criss-cross strap that runs around the ankle and across the middle of your foots arch to keep them well secured during fighting. The best part about these pads is that they allow the ENTIRE ball of your foot to be in contact with the floor. No straps or padding interfere with your foot's movement or control. The padding is molded to fit around your foot not sit on top. That means your foot and ankles are covered even when your opponent throws a foot sweep. These pads are SO good and SO comfortable that once we started making them, NO ONE ON OUR STAFF WILL USE ANYTHING ELSE! That's why they are the ONLY footpads we sell. We simply cannot recommend any others. The only bad news is that once you start using these pads you will NEVER want to go back to the "conventional" paint covered foam style.

A pair (2) of black sparring gloves. They provide coverage for wrist, knuckles, and back of the hand. These are light and quick and made of light a/leather - not intended for heavy bag work, but soft enough to keep your partner from getting mad at you if you hit him or her in the face too often These gloves are easy to get on and off with an elastic strap and velcro closing. With an open palm, your hands don't get nearly as sweaty (and the gloves don't get nearly as stinky). Some of the gloves currently in stock have a pair of thin red stripes on the wrist strap, so they are not completely black.

A Piranha Gear baseball hat - made of deluxe brushed cotton (which means it's really soft), this low profile, unstructured cap is one of our favorites - and we tried LOTS of them. Stone washed so it has a slight "broken in" look but still nice enough to wear to most weddings. It also has a "sandwiched bill" with a contrasting color which also slants across the brim slightly on the left side. The Piranha Gear logo is a 10,000 stitch embroidered design so it's nicely detailed. One size fits all with an adjustable brass buckle and a reinforced opening to keep the loose end tidy. This is a light-weight head guard covered in synthetic leather - NOT the "coated vinyl" that cracks and peels after a couple months. Made of medium density foam so it isn't as heavy or stiff as some head guards, but it still has decent protection from blows to the face or head. This doesn?t use the soft sponge-like foam that offers no protection at all. The face opening is wide enough to prevent any claustrophobic feelings (a common complaint from kids). The design of the face covering also works to minimize any limits to your peripheral vision. It has a lace top for adjusting the height of the padding and a laced back so the head diameter can be easily adjusted. This head guard also has padding BENEATH the rear lacing. Not only does this keep your hair from getting in the laces, it also protects the very back of your head from blows or falls. The sides have a gap for your ears, but instead of a "cup" - that always rubs on your ears, this is one piece on the inside. We find it WAY more comfortable. It also has an adjustable chin strap with a DOUBLE Velcro tab - both for comfort and to keep it secure (we hate it when the cheap "one sided" Velcro chin straps lose their "oomph" too). These head guards are one of our most popular styles for good reason. Since they are "kids' sizes", plan on them being roughly one full size smaller than the size charts.

These Shock Wave knuckle mitts are made of a durable and comfortable elasticized fabric blend. Featuring 1/2'' foam padding for protecting your knuckles (or your sparing partner's body). It's a non-slip fit and holds shape and size through repeated use and washings. These are not intended for "serious" or advanced students or bag work. While very well made, they are for beginners or those looking for a economical set of sparring gloves. They are also popular among competitors that have no weight minimum for their equipment (since they are very light and fast).
